What the Lead Base Paint Inspection Form Is

The Lead Base Paint Inspection Form documents a certified inspection of a property for lead-based paint hazards and records test methods, sample locations, results, and inspector credentials. It is typically completed by a licensed lead inspector or risk assessor for properties built before 1978, incorporated into real estate transactions, rental disclosures, renovation work, or regulatory compliance files. The form creates a dated record that owners, buyers, tenants, contractors, and regulators can use to confirm whether hazardous paint conditions were identified and which remediation steps, if any, were recommended or performed.

Why This Form Matters for Property Safety and Compliance

A completed Lead Base Paint Inspection Form establishes documented evidence of hazard evaluation, supports informed buyer or tenant decisions, and helps owners meet federal and state disclosure obligations.
