Common Preparation Errors to Avoid

  • Entering an incorrect case or docket number is a frequent error that causes payments to be credited to the wrong matter; always verify the court-assigned number before submission.
  • Using abbreviated or inconsistent party names (nicknames, initials) can prevent identity verification and delay application of payments to the correct defendant record.
  • Vague payment schedules such as 'monthly' without dates or amounts create enforcement ambiguity and may prompt the court to request amendment or refuse the submission.
  • Failing to list payment method instructions or payee details can result in rejected transfers, additional processing fees, or delayed disbursements to victims.
