What a Legal Solicitation Notice Is and When it Applies

A Legal Solicitation Notice is a formal written communication used to invite, request, or notify a person or entity about a legal opportunity, claim, or required response. Typical examples include solicitations for bids, notices of claim filing, requests for proposals in regulated procurements, or consumer notices that trigger a legal obligation. The document clarifies the subject, the recipient’s required action, relevant deadlines, and the authority issuing the notice. It can be sent by counsel, government agencies, corporate legal departments, or vendors acting under authorization and may be subject to statutory timing, service, and form requirements.
