What the Marketing Advertising Ad Spend Increase document is

The Marketing Advertising Ad Spend Increase is an internal authorization used to request and approve an increase to a marketing campaign budget. It typically describes the existing campaign, the proposed additional spend, targeted channels, expected KPIs, timing, funding source, and required approvals. When executed electronically it should meet ESIGN and applicable state e-signature rules to ensure enforceability and reproducibility.

  • Failing to attach vendor quotes, scopes of work, or contract amendments can block procurement approval.

Risks and potential consequences of errors

Budget Overspend: May trigger corrective accounting
Non-Compliance: Violations of procurement rules
Audit Findings: Increased scrutiny in financial audits
Vendor Disputes: Unapproved changes can breach contract terms
Campaign Delay: Insufficient funding prevents launch
Tax Reporting: Incorrect coding affects expense classification
