Key components of a professional Marketing Adwords Addition Form

A high-quality form captures operational, financial, legal, and technical details so campaigns launch correctly and can be measured consistently.

Campaign Objective

Describe the primary business goal (awareness, lead generation, sales). Clear objectives allow correct bidding strategies and measurement alignment across platforms.

Budget & Billing

Specify daily and total budgets, billing account, and cost center. Precise billing details prevent chargebacks and enable correct invoice allocation.

Targeting Specifications

List geo, demographics, audience lists, and device priorities. Accurate targeting reduces wasted spend and ensures campaign reaches the intended audience.

Creative Assets

Attach final creative files, dimensions, and landing page URLs. Missing or incorrect creatives delay approvals and publishing.

Tracking & Measurement

Provide conversion names, pixel IDs, UTM parameters, and expected KPI definitions. Proper tracking is essential for performance attribution and billing reconciliation.

Approval Signatures

Include required approver names, roles, and signatures with dates. Signed approvals document authorization and support auditability for finance and legal reviews.

Security and legal items to capture or enforce on the form

Encryption: TLS 1.2/1.3; AES-256 at rest
Access Control: Role-based access and audit logs
Audit Trail: Timestamps, IP, and signer attribution
ESIGN / UETA: Electronic signature legal validity
HIPAA Consideration: BAA required if PHI is present
Retention Policy: Preserve signed records and attachments

Common preparation errors to avoid

  • Submitting incomplete tracking details which prevents accurate conversion measurement and leads to misattributed spend.
  • Misstating account or billing IDs sends campaign setup to the wrong account and complicates reconciliation with finance.
  • Missing creative specifications or wrong file formats that delay publishing and increase turnaround time.
  • Failing to obtain an explicit budget approval which results in unauthorized spend and internal audit findings.

Primary risks and possible consequences of an incorrect form

Budget Overruns: Unexpected spend
Policy Violations: Account suspension risk
