What the Marketing PMA IO Agreement Covers

The Marketing PMA IO Agreement is a written insertion order and commercial contract used to authorize paid media activity between an advertiser, agency, and publisher or platform. It defines campaign scope, budget, flight dates, media placement details, targeting parameters, key performance indicators (KPIs), billing terms, and legal responsibilities. This document formalizes media buy approvals, sets delivery and measurement expectations, and records pricing and payment terms. While often concise, it functions as a binding contract when signed by authorized representatives and may be executed electronically where permitted under federal and state e-signature laws.

Why a Proper IO Matters for Campaign Success

A clear Marketing PMA IO Agreement reduces ambiguity about deliverables, prevents billing disputes, and creates measurable obligations for performance and reporting. Properly drafted IOs protect financial and brand interests while enabling faster approval and campaign start dates under accepted commercial practices.
