What the Membership Agreement for Master Club Is

A Membership Agreement for Master Club is a written contract that sets out the relationship between the club and each member, specifying membership tiers, fees, benefits, term, renewal, cancellation, and member obligations. It defines payment schedules, code of conduct provisions, liability limits, intellectual property licenses for club materials, and dispute resolution procedures. The agreement can be executed on paper or electronically and, when properly signed and retained, creates enforceable rights and duties between the parties under federal and state e-signature law.

Why a Clear Membership Agreement Matters

A well-drafted Membership Agreement reduces ambiguity, sets predictable expectations for fees and services, and limits legal exposure for both the club and members.

Why a Clear Membership Agreement Matters

Who Typically Creates and Signs This Agreement

Club administrators, membership managers, and in-house legal teams prepare the agreement before presenting it to prospective members.

  • Club administrators and membership teams who manage enrollments and renewals.
  • Prospective and returning members agreeing to fees, rules, and benefit packages.
  • Legal counsel or outside attorneys reviewing liability and data clauses.

Members, parent/guardian signatories (when needed), and authorized officers sign to accept the terms; third-party vendors may also be counter‑signers for partner benefits.
