The Microsoft 365 Services Agreement is a contractual document that defines the terms, scope, service levels, licensing, and obligations between a customer and the provider for Microsoft 365 services. It describes permitted uses, data handling, support commitments, payment terms, termination rights, and intellectual property allocations. The agreement also sets responsibilities for security, backups, and service availability, and it typically incorporates privacy and compliance provisions that affect how customer data is processed, retained, and disclosed under U.S. federal and state laws.

Why this Agreement Matters to Your Organization
