Store confirmations securely
Retain EIN issuance letters and submission records in a centralized, access-controlled repository to support bank, payroll, and tax compliance audits.

Core components of a complete, professional SS-4 submission

A compliant SS-4 includes clear identification, exact entity data, contact details, certified authorization, and evidence of delivery and retention.

Entity Name

Provide the legal name exactly as registered. This ties the EIN to formation documents and prevents mismatches across IRS, payroll, and banking records.

Responsible Party

Name, SSN or ITIN, and contact info for the individual who controls entity decisions. Accurate responsible party data is essential for IRS correspondence and verification.

Entity Type

Correctly identify the entity classification (corporation, partnership, LLC, trust, estate, sole proprietor). This determines filing requirements and tax treatment.

Reason for EIN

Select the appropriate reason such as starting a new business, hiring employees, or banking. An incorrect selection can prompt IRS follow-up.

Mailing Address

Complete street, city, state, and ZIP to ensure IRS notices and the EIN confirmation reach the right location without delay.

Authorized Signer

Include the signer’s name, title, signature or validated submission method, and date to show authorization for the EIN request.
