Scope of Services

Describe inspection findings, list rooms and items to be treated, and name the specific treatment methods and chemicals to be used, including restrictions or exclusions.

Treatment Methods

Specify whether heat, chemical, steam, or integrated pest management is used, and include product names or EPA registration numbers where applicable for traceability.

Preparation Instructions

List occupant tasks before treatment (laundry, furniture clearance) and note items that cannot be treated or moved by the technician for safety reasons.

Safety and Warnings

Provide safety precautions, re‑entry intervals, and instructions to protect people, pets, and sensitive equipment during and after application.

Follow-up and Warranty

Define retreatment windows, inspection intervals, and any warranty coverage, including conditions that void warranties such as failure to prepare or ongoing reintroduction risks.

Payment and Cancellation

State total price, deposit requirements, accepted payment methods, cancellation policy, and any fees for missed appointments or failed access.

Files and supporting documents you should store with the agreement

Keep a complete project folder that pairs the signed agreement with evidence of inspection, treatment, and client communications for future claims or audits.

  • Not documenting tenant or occupant preparation and access issues causes missed appointments and reduced treatment effectiveness.
  • Omitting safety warnings, re‑entry times, or product information can create liability and regulatory compliance problems.
  • Accepting unsigned agreements or inconsistent signer names increases the risk of unenforceable terms in disputes.
