What this Project Management Closure Act Template is

The Project Management Closure Act Template is a structured, legally oriented document for formally closing a project, documenting acceptance, deliverables, final costs, and release of claims. It captures key approvals, signatory authority, final acceptance criteria, warranty notice periods, and record retention instructions. The template is designed for clarity so stakeholders understand responsibilities, outstanding obligations, and post-closure monitoring. Organizations use it to create a definitive, auditable record that supports contract closeout, invoicing, regulatory compliance, and future audits while reducing ambiguity about project completion status.

Why using a formal closure act matters

A formal closure act consolidates approvals, confirms deliverables met contract terms, limits liability exposure, and creates an auditable end‑state record for finance, legal, and operations teams.
