What the Project Management Tile Is

A Project Management Tile is a standardized project intake and approval template that captures core project details — scope, objectives, timeline, budget, stakeholders, risks, and required approvals. It is designed to be embedded in project management and collaboration platforms or exported as a standalone document for review and signature. The Tile organizes key metadata and approval fields so reviewers can evaluate readiness, track milestones, and create an audit-ready record. It supports electronic completion and signature to streamline routing and preserve a time-stamped trail of consent.

Why teams use a Project Management Tile

The Tile centralizes essential project information and the approval workflow, reducing ambiguity and manual follow-up. It creates a consistent record for approvals, improves handoffs between departments, and supports compliance by capturing signer identity and timestamps.

Why teams use a Project Management Tile

Common users and contributors

Teams that prepare, review, or approve projects commonly use the Tile to accelerate decisions and record authorizations.

  • Project managers and PMO staff who collect scope, schedule, budget, and risk details for approval.
  • Procurement, legal, and finance teams that review cost, contract terms, and funding before sign-off.
  • External stakeholders and vendors who provide deliverable acceptance or scope confirmations before execution.

Use roles vary by organization size; the Tile scales from single-project teams to enterprise program offices.

How to complete a Project Management Tile

Follow a consistent sequence to reduce review cycles: enter project data, attach supporting documents, request approvals, and record signatures.

Common preparation errors to avoid

  • Incomplete scope descriptions that create change-order disputes and require rework and renegotiation of budget and timeline.
  • Using informal names or nicknames for signers, which causes authentication failures and delays in finalizing approvals.
  • Failing to attach supporting exhibits or budgets, forcing reviewers to request missing documents and extending approval cycles.
  • Routing to incorrect approvers or skipping required legal/finance review, which leads to contract reversals after execution.

Typical digital execution workflow

A standard online flow for the Tile reduces friction: upload, prepare fields, choose authentication, send, and capture the signed record.

  • Upload Document: Add the Tile and supporting attachments to the signing workspace.
  • Place Fields: Add signature, date, and conditional fields to guide signers.
  • Authenticate Signer: Choose email, SMS code, or stronger verification as required.
  • Complete Signing: Signer reviews, signs, and a certificate of completion is generated.
