What the Real Estate Fortis Leo Agreement Is

The Real Estate Fortis Leo Agreement is a contract template that records the material terms of a real property transaction between parties, including property description, price or rent, payment schedule, contingencies, closing conditions, disclosures, and remedies for breach. It functions as the principal document for title work, escrow instructions, and lender review, and creates an enforceable written record whether executed on paper or electronically. Parties should confirm state-specific requirements and any third-party closing procedures before execution.

Why Use the Real Estate Fortis Leo Agreement

A clear, complete Real Estate Fortis Leo Agreement reduces ambiguity about obligations, supports title and escrow processes, and documents contingencies and closing conditions so the parties and third parties can rely on enforceable terms under ESIGN and state law.

Practical Tips for Accurate and Efficient Completion

Use consistent processes and checklists to reduce errors, speed closings, and preserve enforceability of the agreement and its electronic records.

Verify Legal Description
Always copy the legal description from the title commitment or prior recorded deed; an imprecise description can create recording problems and title exceptions that delay closing.
Confirm Signer Identity
Match signer names to government IDs or corporate formation documents; use two-factor or credential-based authentication for high-value transactions to reduce fraud risk.
Use Conditional Fields
Configure conditional fields for optional clauses and contingency removals so signers only see relevant language and avoid inconsistent or contradictory entries.
Preserve Audit Trail
Retain audit logs showing timestamps, IP addresses, and authentication steps to support admissibility and enforcement of electronic signatures in disputes.
