What the Real Estate Listing RE-MAX document covers

The Real Estate Listing RE-MAX is a standardized listing agreement used to record the seller's authorization for a RE/MAX-affiliated agent or broker to market a property, set a listing price, and define commission terms. It collects property identifiers, owner contact information, marketing permissions, MLS authorization, mandatory disclosures, and the exclusive listing period. The form documents the broker’s authority to advertise and cooperate with buyer agents and typically authorizes electronic delivery and signatures when permitted by state law and applicable electronic signature statutes.

Why a properly completed listing matters

A completed Real Estate Listing RE-MAX clarifies authority, compensation, and disclosure obligations, reducing disputes and enabling MLS publication. Proper completion helps ensure enforceability under the ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §7001) and applicable state UETA rules where adopted.

Why a properly completed listing matters

Who typically completes and relies on this form

The Real Estate Listing RE-MAX is completed by sellers and listing agents to establish the broker-seller relationship and record listing terms.

  • Sellers (property owners) — provide legal names, disclosures, and sign the agreement.
  • Brokerage administrators — review compliance, upload to MLS, and retain transaction files.

Copies are shared with co-brokers, title companies, and transaction coordinators to support marketing and closing activities.
