What the Security Services SECURITAS agreement is

Security Services SECURITAS is a standard service agreement template used to record the relationship between a client and a licensed security provider operating under the SECURITAS brand or a comparable contractor. The document sets the scope of services, staffing and shift schedules, access and key control expectations, liability and insurance requirements, confidentiality and data protections, billing and payment terms, training obligations, and termination procedures to align operational and legal responsibilities.

Why a written Security Services SECURITAS agreement matters

A clear Security Services SECURITAS agreement defines responsibilities, service levels, and risk allocation so both parties understand performance expectations, insurance coverage, and remedies. Written terms reduce disputes, support compliance with licensing and insurance rules, and provide an auditable record for operations and regulatory review.

Why a written Security Services SECURITAS agreement matters

Who typically completes this agreement

Facility managers, risk officers, procurement teams, and general counsel commonly use this agreement to define security services and contractual responsibilities.

  • Property managers — set patrol schedules, access controls, and incident reporting standards for tenants and staff.
  • Healthcare administrators — include HIPAA-safe handling of patient areas and restricted access procedures.
  • Event organizers — define crowd control, emergency response, and liaison points with local police.

Small businesses and institutions use tailored versions; larger enterprises incorporate detailed performance metrics and insurance schedules.

Essential sections to include in the agreement

A professional Security Services SECURITAS agreement organizes obligations into clear sections: scope, staffing, liability, confidentiality, performance standards, and termination to reduce ambiguity and manage operational risk.

Scope of Services

Describe specific duties such as patrol routes, access control, alarm monitoring, concierge duties, and special event assignments; include hours of coverage, response times, and escalation procedures.

Staffing & Schedules

Specify number of guards, shift lengths, rotation policy, background checks, licensing, supervisor ratios, and training verification; address replacement and overtime procedures for continuous coverage.

Liability & Insurance

Allocate responsibility for property damage, bodily injury, and third-party claims; require general liability and workers' compensation minimums and list certificate of insurance delivery deadlines and endorsements.

Confidentiality

Protect client information, incident reports, video footage, and personnel records; include non-disclosure clauses, permitted disclosures, data retention limits, and secure transmission requirements.

Performance Standards

Define measurable KPIs such as response time objectives, incident resolution timelines, reporting cadence, staffing compliance rates, and remedies for missed service levels including fee credits or termination rights.

Termination

Outline termination for convenience and for cause, notice periods, cure windows, final accounting, return of property, and procedures for transitioning services to a replacement provider.
