What the Selective Services Agreement Covers

The Selective Services Agreement is a contract that documents how and when selected services will be provided to a client, including selection criteria, scope, performance measures, pricing, and termination mechanics. For U.S. use it should address governing law, data handling, and signature procedures to satisfy ESIGN and state electronic transaction rules. Proper drafting and execution reduce ambiguity, support auditability, and preserve enforceability across industries that rely on selective or on-demand service engagement models.

Why a Clear Selective Services Agreement Matters

A well-drafted agreement reduces disputes by clarifying selection rules, responsibilities, payment triggers, and remedies. It documents compliance with electronic signature laws and creates an auditable record for regulators, auditors, and internal controls.
