Character list with brief descriptions, roles, and archetypes; allows voice notes for performance, pronoun preferences, and sensitivity flags and citations to original sources when required.

Plot Beats

Common Preparation and Submission Mistakes

  • Missing or inconsistent metadata (title, author, rights) causes publishing errors, duplicate records, and delayed approvals across content and legal teams.
  • Failure to capture explicit consent for electronic records may create consumer disclosure issues for paid commissions and grant disputes under ESIGN requirements.
  • Using unsecured file transfers or platforms without audit trails undermines chain of custody and complicates later dispute resolution or rights enforcement.
  • Overlooking witness or notarization needs for jurisdiction-specific rights transfers can render assignments unenforceable in some states.
