What the Supplemental Service Terms Are and when they apply

Supplemental Service Terms are a written addendum that modifies or clarifies an existing service agreement by specifying additional services, fees, schedules, responsibilities, or limits. They sit alongside the primary service contract and are intended to be read and executed by the same parties who signed the main agreement. Because they alter contractual rights or duties, they must identify the underlying agreement, describe the new or changed obligations precisely, state an effective date, and be signed by authorized representatives to be enforceable.

Why a clear Supplemental Service Terms document matters

A concise supplemental instrument reduces ambiguity about added services, payment terms, timelines, and responsibilities while preserving the original contract structure.
