What a Tourism Agreement Covers

A Tourism Agreement is a written contract that defines the services, responsibilities, pricing, and liability allocation between a tourism service provider (operator, tour guide, or agency) and a client or group. It typically covers itinerary details, payment terms, cancellation and refund policies, health and safety requirements, insurance and indemnity clauses, and any travel-related permits or approvals required by local authorities. Tourism Agreements may be executed as paper contracts or electronically; when signed electronically they are governed by federal and state e‑signature laws such as the ESIGN Act and state UETA statutes. This template focuses on practical fields and e-sign workflows.

Why a Clear Tourism Agreement Matters

A clear Tourism Agreement reduces disputes by defining services, payment, cancellations, and liability. It protects providers and travelers, clarifies expectations, and creates enforceable obligations when executed under ESIGN (15 U.S.C. §7001) or state UETA frameworks for electronic signatures.
