What a Valet Parking Contract Is and When It Applies

A Valet Parking Contract is a written agreement that sets the terms between a property owner or event host and a valet operator for vehicle handling services. It defines responsibilities for parking, retrieving, and storing vehicles; addresses keys and vehicle access; establishes rates, hours, and staffing; and allocates risk through insurance, damage liability limits, and indemnities. Well-drafted contracts also specify service locations, signage, employee screening, and incident reporting procedures. When used correctly the agreement clarifies expectations for both parties and creates a record needed for claims, regulatory compliance, and future audits.

Why a Clear Valet Parking Contract Matters
