The Vehicle History SCHARF CARFAX is a standardized vehicle history report that compiles VIN-based data such as ownership records, title brands, mileage readings, reported accidents, lien history, and salvage or flood designations. Dealers, buyers, insurers, and lenders use the report to verify condition and legal status before sale, financing, or settlement. The report aggregates public records, DMV filings, service records, and insurance claims to create a single, auditable summary used in vehicle transactions and risk assessments.
