What a Website Addition Form Is and When it’s Used

A Website Addition Form documents a request to add a page, resource, or content item to an organization’s public website or intranet. It records the requester, page URL or slug, content purpose, technical metadata, required approvals, accessibility checks, and publication date to ensure consistent review and compliant publishing.

Why use a formal Website Addition Form

A standardized Website Addition Form reduces publishing errors, ensures legal and accessibility reviews, and creates an audit trail for approvals. It helps teams confirm ownership, manage SEO metadata consistently, and document retention obligations without relying on ad hoc email approvals.

Compliance Checks

Accessibility confirmation, privacy disclosures, and any required third-party licenses to reduce legal exposure and meet regulatory obligations.
