What the Wedding Hair and Makeup Agreement Is and why it matters

A Wedding Hair and Makeup Agreement is a written service contract between a beauty professional (stylist, makeup artist) and a client or bridal party that documents the services to be provided for a wedding event. It defines the scope of hair and makeup services, scheduled trial appointments, on‑site timing, travel and parking arrangements, fees, deposits, payment schedule, cancellation and rescheduling terms, liability limits, and any photo or model release. The agreement also identifies responsibilities for supplies and touch-ups, and creates a reference for resolving disputes or questions about what was promised on the wedding day.

Why you should use a written Wedding Hair and Makeup Agreement

A clear written agreement protects both parties by setting expectations on services, timing, fees, and cancellation terms while reducing misunderstandings and enabling enforceability.
