what's up guys if you are a brand new seller and you're just getting started on amazon you may be finding that you are restricted in a lot of different brands and categories and you want to get ungated in those categories as fast as possible and you're not sure how to go through that process so in this video we're going to break down how to go ahead and get those invoices to get ungated in different brands we're going to look at how to format those invoices what all kind of information needs to be there we're just going to give you an overall general guidance about using invoices to get unrestricted in different categories and brands all right let's get into it so what you're looking at is ee distribution you guys should know that this is a website that you can use to go and get engaged in toys and different toy brands uh definitely go and check them out if you've been watching any kind of un-getting videos at all then you already know about this website but we're going to look at how you can format the invoice that you get from ee distribution or any other kind of wholesaler that you're going to use i'm actually going to show you an invoice that i have from frontier co-op which i used to get un restricted in amazon's newest category the personal safety and health households something like that i can remember the exact category name but it was amazon's newest restriction category they actually created a whole new category uh because of the virus to protect consumers and i wanted to get ungated in that to go ahead and take advantage of that new restriction and i did that with my invoice and this is exactly how i format it if you want to see more about that video you can go and check it out i'll link it up above i went through a whole detail process of how i made this actually happen all right so let me go ahead and say this right now first before we get into the formatting of all this you need to treat the amazon rep as a child you need to point out every single thing for them you need to make it so super easy for them to verify your information that it uh is really just a no-brainer okay and you know really depends on what kind of rep you get you might get someone that fully understands the process you might get someone that doesn't understand the process doesn't really bother to look at the information it really just depends on what rep you get but that is the reason why you want to make things so super super clear and super specific you need to call out every single thing on your invoice so that they can see it and understand it and make it uh an easy process so definitely do as much as possible to point out what they want to see all right so the first thing you need to make sure is actually happening you need to make sure that your business name or your amazon seller name is right there on the sold to your name as well and your address and all of this information needs to be able to be verified with your amazon seller account so this information needs to be the same information that you use for your amazon seller account if you have a different address here or different address there it's not going to work you will get denied so make sure that they can verify that information okay the next thing i like to do is i like to circle the amount that i ordered so that they can see that yes i do in fact have at least 10 units and down here as well i'll put 20 total quantity ordered and call that out as well here's the total units that i ordered again you have to make it really simple for them to look and see and verify the information what you also need to do is line up the asin's right here again just another thing that you can do to help them uh look at the products a little bit faster so they see that i ordered three units of this you know what is it i don't know well here's the asin where you can go and check and verify it that this is the product that i ordered all right so you want to make sure to put the aces here and the quantity ordered here and this is pretty much how i format my invoice every time i use an invoice to get ungated let's look into another question that i see a lot is what products do i order like what should i order in order to get ungated in you know star wars or toys and games health and beauty grocery things like that how do i know which products to buy which products not to buy and i'll show you how to do that right now so say you wanted to try to get ungated in star wars you want to go ahead and purchase this product from ee distribution but you need to make sure that it's actually star wars branded in amazon it's actually selling as a brand of star wars product on amazon and you are currently restricted on it you need to make sure because sometimes you'll find star wars products that aren't branded as star wars so you don't want to buy those products because they won't get you ungated so what you're going to do is just going to scroll down here on this particular website and you look for the upc's you should be able to find the upc on any wholesaler website that you're using take that upc and go check it on amazon to make sure that the product is branded as star wars and you are currently restricted in it okay so we'll just wait for this to pop up real quick make sure that i'm restricted in it and you need approval to list this brand now this is uh how it's kind of laid out for me because i used different chrome extensions and stuff like that but if you wanted to do this through your seller account this is what the process would look like you're going to go to the add a product page go ahead and paste that upc in there and search that here it is it's going to come up yes you can definitely see that you are restricted in it and you need to apply to sell so you're going to click this button again you want to make sure that it's branded star wars here we go star wars branded products you need approval to sell so that is how you're going to find the products that you you make sure that they are actually in the particular brand or category that you want to sell it's a little easier for the categories because you just need to make sure that they're in that category and you can do that by simply scrolling down to your amazon description here and you can see this is in the toy and game category all right so that was pretty simple and easy uh the other thing i will cover for you guys is that the purchase invoice here needs to be dated within a hundred and eighty days so you have a hundred and eighty days from the time that you get that invoice in order to get uh ungated and unrestricted and you can get approved in a bunch of different brands and categories using just one invoice and i would use that one invoice to get proof in a much as many things as possible and again look include your name and address matching the information in your seller account that's a huge huge deal make sure that it's happening the name and address of the uh wholesaler or distributor needs to be there and combine purchase of at least 10 units now going off of that 10 unit theory it depends on what products you are buying if you're trying to get uh unrestricted in star wars for example you need to make sure that you buy 10 star wars products if you're trying to get um unrestricted in a category like toys you just need to make sure that you have 10 toys 10 items that are in the toy and game category for amazon to deem that 10 units that's another one of those common questions to get asked a lot that's pretty much the basics of getting ungated and using an invoice to make that happen again go and just format your invoice just like this make sure that you're calling out every single piece of
