PETITIONER PETITION TO REMOVE MINORITY COMES NOW the Petitioner, , by and through counsel, , , and files this Petition seeking the removal of the minority of his/her minor son/daughter, , and sets forth as follows: I. The Petitioner is an adult resident citizen of County, Mississippi residing at , , Mississippi. The Petitioner is the natural father/mother of . The minor joins in this Petition. They have entered into a contract of a sale and purchase of real estate. V. The Petitioner asks this Court remove the minority of for all purposes as he/she will attain the age of majority in , . In order to complete the real estate transaction and obtain mortgage financing, the minor is in need for the removal of his/her minority for all purposes.
This will be the minor's first time to enter into a contract of sale and purchase of real estate. The minor would prefer to purchase from a family member or neighbor rather than a family member/neighbor that is not a natural parent. W. The minor is of good character and is not a danger to the welfare and safety of himself/herself or others. Xxi. The minor was born on, Xi. In addition to the requirements imposed by. The minor has not been subject to a domestic violence order, or any similar order involving stalking, physical attack or assault, or sexual assault. Xxii. The minor has not been issued a juvenile court. Restraining order; nor any permanent order barring him/her from possessing, or purchasing firearms such as firearms owned by a family member, or prohibiting him/her from owning, purchasing or operating a vehicle. Xxiii. The minor is eligible for free housing pursuant to Mississippi code , section 12-24-14 (5) . Xxiv. The minor is receiving financial assistance through section 8 of the Mississippi family income plan, approved annually by the department of housing and urban development. Xxv.
