What the Career Center Employment Agreement Is

Career Center Employment Agreement is a standardized employment contract used by career centers, college career services offices, and employers engaging candidates through career events. It sets terms of employment including position, duties, compensation, at-will or term status, confidentiality, and dispute resolution. The template is suitable for hourly and salaried roles and can be adapted for internships, temporary placements, or grant-funded positions. When completed and signed by authorized parties, the agreement documents mutual obligations, clarifies benefits and termination conditions, and serves as a record for human resources and compliance purposes.

Why a Standard Agreement Matters

Using a Career Center Employment Agreement ensures clear role expectations, documents compensation and benefits, and reduces disputes by capturing terms in writing. It supports compliance with hiring policies, simplifies onboarding records, and provides a consistent format for agreement review and recordkeeping.
