Contract or Agreement of Employment with Part-Time Domestic Service Worker This agreement is made on the ___ day of ____________, 20___ between _____________________________ of _____________________________________________ (street address, city and state) , referred to as Employer, and ____________________________ of _________________________________________________________________________ (street address, city and state), referred to as Employee. WHEREAS, Employer needs the services of a domestic employee on a part-time basis to work at the house located at _____________________________________________________ (street address, city and state) hereafter referred to as Premises ; and WHEREAS, Employee has been engaged in and has had at least ____ year(s) of paid experience in domestic services; and WHEREAS, Employee is willing to be employed by Employer, and Employer is willing to employ Employee, on the terms, covenants, and conditions set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, for the reasons recited above, and in consideration of their following mutual promises and agreements, the parties agree as follows: 1. Nature of Employment Employer hereby employs Employee for domestic services of the following nature: (specify details of the duties to be performed) Employee hereby accepts and agrees to such employment. Employee understands that she must be willing to do all of the duties mentioned without supervision, since the work must be done at times Employer is absent from the Premises . Employee, in addition, must be willing to accommodate all reasonable demands that Employer may communicate by telephone or by notes or instructions left on the Premises . 2. Access to Premises and Hours of Employment Employee shall work at least ___hours per week, but not more than ____hours per week, in accomplishing all routine household chores and in accomplishing the tasks outlined by Employer for that week. Beyond this, Employee is free to do the work at whatever time of day Employee desires, as long as the work is accomplished by _____________________________ (e.g., Friday at 5:00 P.M.) of each week. Employee will be issued a set of keys to the Premises . 3. Compensation and Payment Employee shall be paid at the rate of $_____ per hour, limited to ____hours for a routine week, which compensation shall total at least $______ , but not more than $______ , per week. Payment shall be by check, left on the Premises by Employer, in the amount of the hours agreed to be worked on a routine basis. In the event there is previous agreement on the number of additional hours required to accomplish all tasks requested in a particular week, payment will cover this number of hours. In all other cases calling for additional compensation, the additional charges for services performed will either be paid the subsequent week, or mailed to Employee, whichever manner of payment is requested by Employee. 5. Termination. This Agreement may be terminated by either party by giving the other party one week’s notice of the intent to terminate.
