What the Employee ITP Form Is and when it’s used

The Employee ITP Form documents an individual training plan (ITP) for an employee, recording learning objectives, required courses, timelines, milestones, and responsible approvers. Organizations use it to align development goals with job competencies, track mandatory compliance training, and schedule refresher or certification activities. The form typically accompanies budget or learning requests and becomes part of the employee’s personnel file for performance reviews and audit trails. Accurate completion ensures training credit, supports workforce planning, and creates a single-source record for HR, learning teams, and auditors.
