Core Commitments

1. Prohibition on Corrupt Practices: I will not, directly or indirectly, offer, give, solicit, or accept any bribe, kickback, improper gift, or other corrupt payment to obtain or retain business or to secure any improper advantage in the performance of my duties.

2. Equal Opportunity: The employer is an equal opportunity employer. Decisions regarding hiring, promotion, compensation, and other terms of employment are made without unlawful discrimination.

What the Employment Integrity Pact Form Is

An Employment Integrity Pact Form documents commitments by an employer and an employee (or applicant) to maintain honesty, disclose conflicts of interest, and follow workplace rules related to hiring, compensation, and conduct. It typically includes provisions on truthful disclosures, anti-bribery assurances, confidentiality, and remedies for breaches. The form provides an auditable record of consent and representations that supports HR compliance programs, background checks, and internal investigations. When executed electronically, the form should meet ESIGN and applicable state UETA/ESRA standards to ensure enforceability and admissibility.

Why an Integrity Pact Matters for Hiring and Compliance

An Employment Integrity Pact reduces fraud risk, documents a candidate’s representations, and creates a clear basis for corrective action. It supports internal controls, improves auditability, and helps meet regulatory expectations where honesty and conflict disclosure are material to the role.

Why an Integrity Pact Matters for Hiring and Compliance

Who Typically Completes an Employment Integrity Pact

Organizations use this form across HR, compliance, and hiring operations to record candidate and employee commitments before onboarding.

  • HR teams and recruiters who need documented candidate acknowledgements during pre-employment screening and offer acceptance.
  • Compliance and legal departments ensuring disclosures and anti-corruption commitments are collected and retained consistently.
  • Contractors and third-party vendors asked to certify conflict disclosures and integrity commitments before engagement.

Use by multiple stakeholders ensures consistent expectations and central retention of signed pacts for audits and dispute resolution.

Core Sections to Include in a Professional Pact

A clear structure makes the pact enforceable and usable: identify parties, state obligations, set disclosure rules, and provide signature and retention instructions.

Parties

Full legal names and corporate identifiers for employer and employee or contractor, plus contact details and mailing addresses for official notices.

Integrity Covenants

Specific promises such as truthful representations, no bribery, no undisclosed conflicts, and compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.

Disclosure Obligations

A defined process and timeline for disclosing conflicts, outside employment, financial interests, or prior disciplinary actions that could affect the role.

Representations

Statements confirming the accuracy of submitted information, education, certifications, and authorizations for background or reference checks.

Remedies

Consequences for breach: disciplinary action, rescission of offer, termination, indemnification language, or referral to authorities where applicable.

Signature Blocks

Clear signer lines for each party, printed name, title, date, and optional witness or notary block with guidance on electronic signatures.
