What the Student Tutor Grille Agreement Is and When It Applies

The Student Tutor Grille Agreement is a written contract that documents the tutoring arrangement between a student (or the student's guardian) and a tutor or tutoring provider. It sets out scope of services, session schedule, fees and payment terms, cancellation and rescheduling rules, confidentiality and data-handling commitments, and responsibilities for materials or assessments. The template also allocates liability, clarifies whether the tutor is an independent contractor or employee, and provides signature blocks and effective dates. Properly completed, it creates clear expectations and a record usable for billing, disputes, and regulatory compliance.

Why a Structured Agreement Benefits Students, Families, and Tutors

A Student Tutor Grille Agreement reduces ambiguity about scheduling, fees, cancellations, and educational responsibilities. It documents consent and authorization for any student data sharing, supports consistent billing, and helps resolve disputes without litigation. Clear terms protect tutors, families, and institutions by outlining expectations and risk allocation.
