hi everyone my name is kevin today i want to show you how you can change your email signature on ios so you can get rid of the default one that says sent by iphone so what we do is we have i have my iphone open right there on the side of the screen and what i'm going to do is i'm going to just open up my email and i'm going to click on compose and you'll see the default signature there that says sent from my iphone let's say i want to do something more creative or maybe i don't want that just generic message on there i've seen a lot of people say please excuse the typos this was sent on mobile or maybe i want to promote my youtube channel and i could say something like youtube.com forward slash kevin stratford so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna cancel this and i'm gonna show you how to change your signature it's very very simple to do what we're going to do is on the home screen of your iphone click into the settings view so i'm going to click into settings within settings there are a ton of options in here but what we're going to do is we're going to scroll down until we find an option called mail because we want to change your signature for your mail account so we're going to go ahead and click on mail within the mail view you also have a lot of different settings that you can adjust the signature shows up at the bottom of the message so maybe the settings at the bottom of the settings screen let's scroll down there it is at the very bottom of the screen there's an option here that says signature and you'll see that says sent for my iphone as the default and here when i click into that so i have multiple email accounts set up on my iphone and what i could do is you could have one signature across all of your accounts or what you could do is i'll click on per account and this allows me to configure a different signature for each individual account so my gmail my outlook those are my personal accounts my exchanges my work account so maybe i want to have a slightly different signature depending on the context what i've done is i've entered my youtube address as my signature for gmail and i think it looks good what i'm going to do now is i'm going to go back and that is now set as my signature so now that i have a new signature set i'm going to go back to my home screen i'm going to click into mail and now we're going to click on a new email message and you'll notice that instead of saying sent from my iphone it now lists out my youtube url at the bottom of my message i could change that to whatever i want unfortunately you're somewhat limited in terms of what you could put there it needs to just be text you can't put images or other type of content but hey it's better than the default and you could just uh modify that to your heart's content anyway if you were able to update your signature with this video please give this video a thumbs up if you want to see more videos like this in the future please hit that subscribe button that way you'll get a notification anytime new content like this comes out and if there are any other videos that you want to see me cover in the future please leave a comment down below i read them all and i'll add it to my list of videos to create in the future all right well that's all i have for you today hope to see you next time bye
