[Music] hey it's a bitcast and today i'll be showing you guys how to make uh like a developer certificate and also make it into a p12 so that you can sign your apps um i got this requested by one of my friends he wanted me to make this video and uh i decided that i'd do it um so i'm just gonna be creating um a certificate and then i'm gonna show how to sign it um and so what we need to do is we actually need to open up our keychain before we do anything and then when you actually need to go over to keychain access and go to certificate assistant then request certificate from authority so what you do with that is um you type in like an email i'll just do one uh i'll do it real quick and then common name you can do whatever you want for that i'll just do casp and then the email that you have with your um with your developer account so i'll type mine in now i'm going to click save to disk and click continue and it's going to take a second and it's going to create a certificate signing request and that's actually just going to go on my home screen and you can see that it went right over here so now we need to do is we actually need to go to developer.apple.com sign in with our developer account and then go to here and create a certificate then we need to go to uh we're going to go to developer distribution um so distribution app store ad hoc that's what we're going to be using click continue and then we need to select the certificate signing request so the one that we just generated we're going to get from our home screen click over here and click continue then we're going to click download so that we can download the p12 so now that we have the p12 we need to turn it into an actual p12 because this is actually just a certificate so what we need to do is we need to open keychain access and drag it into there so ios distribution we're going to drag it in all right so the one that says that uh june 17th is the one i got today so what we need to do is we need to control click it then we're going to export the uh distribute the distribution certificate so we're going to click that and then we're going to create a name for it so i'm gonna call it uh one two three and then we it turns it into a p12 so we click save it will ask for a password that we wanna give it so i'm just gonna do one two three four as the password it's very weak but it's something that we will be able to remember and now we need...
