green cast will show you how to add certificates to your Google Chrome browser in order for us to stay connected to the network as well as navigate around so the first thing you need to do is go get the certificate and the certificate is a Google Doc that is shared with you if you go to the district website and scroll down you'll notice that towards the end of the page in the footer should be a link called certificate and there it is so you're going to click on certificate let this fully load and on your Chromebook then you're going to click download this certificate will download into your files once the file is completely downloaded you want to go in the upper right hand corner and click on the wrench and go into settings once into settings you'll scroll all the way down and click on the Advanced Settings once you're in the Advanced Settings and you need to scroll down to where it says HTTPS and click on manage certificates this is going to look a little bit different on the PC laptop than it will in your Chromebook but one of the tabs you should have across here should say authorities so you're gonna click on the authorities tab and once you click on the authority tab you're going to click import at that point you are gonna have the option to find or browse for the certificate and again this is going to look a little bit different on your Chromebook so you're going to look in on the left hand side in your Chromebook you should notice that you have your Google Drive you have your downloads so click on the Downloads which should be up in this area and you should see a file called WS - CA dot c RT click on that file which in this case on the PC looks like this so you click on the file open it and then in your case you're gonna see three check boxes click all three check boxes then click OK once you've clicked ok you can click OK on the next box and then what you want to do then is completely shut down your Chromebook then you can turn it back on after about 30 seconds log back in and then navigate to your Google folder or your Google Drive it may take up to three four five minutes for the certificate and the server to communicate with one other and to make everything run smoothly again so if you get the symbol up here is a little lightning bolt that shows that you are offline just let the chrome box sit for a little bit three or four minutes and then it should find that the certificate is valid and then it will reassociate and everything should work okay from there
