Reported Absences Will Follow One of Two Paths Reduce Your Risk Exposure Path 1 — Combined Leave and Disability Event: ■ Time off for illness or injury that results in a disability claim. ■ We’ll contact the attending physician on the same day that we receive the claim, for information about the disability claim and FML request. Minimize Absence Expenses Whenever possible some types of absences (such as short-term disability) will be administered concurrently with FML, based on your company’s policies.
