As the court will soon learn, the evidence shows that both parties have an interest in the outcome of this case, and as such, the issues involved can only be determined by a trial as expeditiously as possible. 2. This case has been previously decided by the Iowa supreme court in state v. Zech, 2005 WI app 143, 253 wis.[sic]. At pages 904-905 this court held that the defendant's “exact words" in the plea to the jurisdiction of the circuit court were “as follows: 'the defendant in this case is john a. Pardon. He is an ex-felon currently living in this county, has resided here since January 1, 1996 and intends to continue to reside here.'” 3. The court found that "the parties' interest does not excuse an error or misstatement of the law.” in an effort to "promote judicial economy” in this case, the court has ordered the parties to return to the court with further briefs in opposition to the parties' “exact words" in their plea of the jurisdiction of the circuit court and any "claim" for relief.
