GENERAL HOME REPAIR SERVICES CONTRACT (SHORT FORM) This agreement is entered into by and between __________________, (hereafter "Employer") and __________________ , (hereafter "Contractor"). NOW, THEREFORE, FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual promises and agreements contained herein, Employer hires Contractor, and Contractor agrees to work for Employer under the terms and conditions hereby agreed upon by the parties: 1. Scope of Services. Employer agrees to hire Contractor to perform the following service: (a) Perform general maintenance and home repair work more particularly described as follows: _________________ _ at the following address: __________________. (b) Upon completion of project, Contractor shall return the property to Employer in a clean and satisfactory condition. 2. Term of Employment. Contractor agrees to perform such services the performance of which shall begin from the date of signing this Agreement and shall be complete on or before __________________ , 20 . 3. Liquidated Damages. Should Contractor fail to perform the services as agreed or at the specified date and time, Employer shall be entitled to $ per day compensation. 4. Contractor shall be responsible for his/her own income taxes, worker’s compensation and other employment taxes. 6. Contractor agrees to maintain at his/her own expense, comprehensive general liabili ty insurance at a minimum amount of $ , and to hold Employer free and harmless from any and all claims arising from any negligent act or omission under the operation of this Agreement. 7. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and shal l not be supplemented, modified or amended unless executed in writing by both parties. 8. No waiver of any provision of this Agreement shall be deemed a waiver of any other provision. 9. This Agreement shall be construed according to the laws of the State of __________________ .
