[Music] hello everyone David aox here with pcclassesonline.com and today I wanted to share with all of you one of my favorite business apps for the iPhone now this app is really incredible when you consider what it can do and if you're anything like me I myself am a small business owner and many times I find that I go out sometimes it's to meet with a client of mine for coffee sometimes it's lunch or even dinner and all of those expenses that you encounter as a business owner are items that you can potentially write off against your taxes at the end of the year now there are devices that are out there like the neat desk which is a high-end scanner they usually start around $400 and they help organize all of your receipts by using OCR technology to analyze them categorize them Etc the problem is that it's $400 this app that I'm about to show you does basically what that does for free the name of the app you'll see on my screen right now here at the bottom right hand corner of my phone which is called one receipt and I'll let you know this anytime you see an app on my phone that's not in a folder it means it's important and this one is important so the one receipt app you can get of course just by going into the App Store this is what it looks like when you search for it it is completely free go figure I don't know why they did that or how they did that but it's a it's definitely a good thing now part of the screen I am going to have to blur out here just of course for personal reasons since this is my account that you see but the way it works is if you look at the bottom leftand corner of my screen there's a little camera icon when you tap on that it launches the camera for your iPhone and you just hold your receipt right up to it and take a picture of it now it will process the data that it's looking at it uses that same OCR technology to analyze what it is looking at and so then what you can do is you can add things called Tags to it so for example you can identify that it is food or that it is maybe a material that you need for your business uh shipping expenses Etc so then when you're done with that I'm going to leave this screen here for a moment so that you can see this so this is uh an example of one that I took a photo of recently I went out to eat for dinner you can see here it's figured out the name of the restaurant it's cataloged all the different items that were on the bill it's got all the totals here and what's great for accountants is that if you look up here at the top right you can export this data as a PDF or even more helpful as a CSV file and for accountants that are watching this all of them already know this but CSV files talk very easily to QuickBooks so it's really handy for that once again the name of the app itself is called one receipt I hope you'll check it out it is worth every penny that it doesn't cost you to get it this is David aox with pcclassesonline.com if you've been enjoying this video on YouTube We of course really appreciate it if you click that little like button and you can find all of our classes both the live ones that we offer and our past recorded classes on our website which is a completely free service at pcclassesonline.com that's all everyone take care
