hey this is Pete with PD airmobile I'm gonna do a video tutorial today on creating a invoice for a body shop so this is where you're doing a retail invoice for say an insurance claim and ultimately you're gonna do the work and then you're gonna build a body shop at your predefined discount and we've made a really neat workflow around this so first of all I want to walk you through setting up that contact for the body shop in this case for the tutorial I've already put they contact in there called body shop as you can see if you scroll down there's discounts at the bottom I put in a 30% discount and any time an estimate has this contact associated with it that predefined discount will flow through to the invoicing process I'll show you that in a minute let's go back to the estimate grid let's say that we've just we've wrote this 14 Subaru and this is the insurance estimate that we wrote we did the work on it and now we're gonna build a body shop a couple things I want to show you to on the in ensuring you can put insurance information in here I'll show you here in the contacts here's the body shop primary body shops a tagged to this estimate and now that we've done the work I'm also going to ask the body shop for a signature so I'm gonna come to my sign page and I'm just gonna go ahead and have them sign I'm just gonna put okay here for now done tap on done and now that we have the signature captured when we actually go to create an invoice that is gonna flow through them and go ahead and lock this estimate that way we know exactly if there's any changes there'd be a supplement that we can track now the really neat feature here is that we've allowed you to deselect R&I or really anything if you didn't do the the work on the car so for example let's say that the body shop had a technician do all our and I work so I'm going to deselect all the are and I work done on this vehicle so in essence you're just billing for the PDR work completed you tap on next that puts you into the invoicing process as you can see the 30% discount is carried through and the total price before discount is 1640 125 go and rotate my phone here and show you at the bottom I'm going to scroll down and you'll see our 30% discount there at 490 238 and a grand total 1260 377 so that's what's gonna be bill to shop and that in vote that signature is carried forward into the invoicing process as well so I'm gonna go ahead and save that and I can just email or print right to the shop right now there's no valid email in there so if that functionalities not going to work but even if you don't at the moment all you have to do is click on tap on the new contacts at the bottom throw in your email and I'm just gonna do that real quick peek at PDR mobile.com add that in there tap on send and now that invoice is going to be sent to me as you can see here on the Soubirous we've got the I indicating that that that estimate has been invoiced to the shop and if I go over to my accounting screen look on my outstanding invoices there's the body shop 1260 376 so a pretty neat little feature on simple workflow to invoice the body shop without a whole lot of extra work I hope this tutorial has been helpful and thanks for being a PDR mobile member
