click click on unpaid and the data in the table will get updated with the filter provided similarly you can search based on the customer name project uh due date and amount so in profit books you can create three types of invoices one is a credit invoice so for example you sell something and you are expecting your payment in future so uh you'll be creating credit invoice and if you're selling something in cash go straight way to the cash invoice then some companies uh charge their clients based on time or based on hours of work they perform so those companies can use time based invoice so we'll quickly look at each of these invoice types we'll first create credit invoice uh here you can just go on typing your customer name if you know it already so once you start typing it the available matches will start populating and in case you want to add new customer name you can just click on this plus icon and enter data for new customer so right now what I will do is I will just quickly select one from the list then this invoice number can be customized from settings menu we'll come to that uh uh after we are done with this invoicing tutorial then here's a date of invoice uh due date and you can enter the purchase order reference then these are these three fields are the uh custom Fields you can you know customize the name of these uh customize the labels and you can mention anything which is suitable to your business requirement then uh let's see SE one product so for example I'm selecting ashp palian G6 so the description if it is available it will appear here values for these two fields from invoice settings and then if if uh you want this invoice to repeat in future you can quickly use this so basically if you are charging your customer on monthly or say U quarterly basis you can just schedule this invoice and uh next uh iteration it will create it will get created automatically so I'm going to say no going to say save so so once uh this invoice is successfully created you can you know you can see if the status of this invoice So currently it's unpaid so for example if you receive some payment you can just click on ADD payment and start typing the account name receive date amount and uh if uh the party who is paying you deduct some TDS you can mention those details here and then you can also mention the uh receip mode cash if you select check you'll have to enter your check number and bank name similarly credit card and internet banking you have to enter the transaction details so I'm going to say cash and uh save so if I now using if I if I try to print this uh invoice uh I'll get the history of uh the payment received so for example I received this payment by cash on this date so everything will appear here now uh you can you know uh upload your own company logo and it will appear here uh similarly you can print delivery Chalan so this is this is how dely channel will look and in case you want to send send this invoice to your customer directly by email you can just type in his email ID and uh write the text and the PDF copy will get attached to this invoice wa a seconds so this is how you create uh credit invoice in profit books now we'll see how what is the difference between cash invoice and time B invoice so here's a new uh new invoice creation screen for cash invoice so the major difference is you have to enter the uh uh account name right here on the invoice the this is the account where you are going to receive the um cash and another difference is that uh you can enter the customer name mobile number and email directly here and these uh names will not be saved in the system uh a lot of times uh people have to you know sell Goods over the counter and they they need not uh record names and other details of their customers so they can use this invoice for quickly generating bills as seen in create invoices you can create the items enter description quantity and other details and create the invoice it's it's the same thing one thing is missing is here is you cannot create uh recursion or set frequency for this cash invoice so we'll quickly see the third type which is time based invo so time base invoice is more or less similar to create invoice uh the difference is here product instead of product list your task will get populated so whatever task you create from the task management screen we'll come to that in in a bit uh those task will appear here so based on um based on those uh task details you can charge your customers so the title of uh The Columns have changed so instead of uh quantity you have your hours instead of U to uh or price it this field you have to go to here so this will populate the task management screen here while adding a task you just have
