make you a couple thousand dollars per month in this video I'm gonna show you exactly how I went from making 12 bucks an hour to make a 10 grand a month in eight months by sending cold Outreach to best way to find client if you stick to the end of the video I would give you the number one script that's crushing for everyone right now the number one question I get in my comments in my DMs is always what if I know nothing about copyright do I need to be an expert do I need to know anything about copyright in order to sign clients listen when I started copywriting I thought it was a legal term I thought you needed to be a lawyer to do copywriting I didn't realize it was there was a difference between copyright and copywriting this dmvc here is not that long ago this was like what three research or like looking into it before doing this you're really just procrastinating again I lose the worst with this I didn't actually do cotton writing until I had looked into it and researched it sending emails and DMS you can watch YouTube videos like this you can listen to podcasts like this you can read a free pdf online called cashwordizing and once you go down the rabbit hole a couple always say that you'll never know everything you need to know before actually getting your first client you're never going to be more than like 40 or 50 ready before you have your client so if you're watching videos reading books and trying to feel more ready before you get that first client it's not gonna happen the only way you could be 100 ready is by actually doing it so you have to trust yourself to know that you're going to figure out most of it once you actually go and do it the clients that you have are going to be way more helpful than you thought and Google really is your best friend when I had my first client I embarrass myself more times than I can count and they still kept me on because I did good work and I was cool to hang around now that that's out of the way let's talk about who these people are that you're going to reach out to rule number one anyone can potentially be a client for you as a copywriter copywriting is a skill that can help literally any business in the world so you don't have to have a niche you can help whoever you want literally everyone if you're really good at sales and you're selling software products how easy do you think it would be to take that skill of sales go to a car dealership and start selling Ferraris like the next day you'd be way better than everybody else because you have the skill of sales copywriting is the same it's applicable to literally everything you don't have to be specially trained to just do e-commerce or just do software or just do info products you can use copy Landing for literally anything let me say this one more time to the people in the back you do not need a niche I had a student early on when I started teaching that thought they needed a niche and their Niche was are you ready healthy food delivery companies on the East Coast I can think of probably four companies in the entire world that fit that criteria you're not signing anybody by niching down more you're just pigeonholing yourself you don't need to do that what you should nail down though is the type of copy that you're writing because when you approach your future clients you want to have a solid idea of what you're going to do for them you're not going to show up be like hey man let me write some copy you're not gonna hire I highly recommend that you start with email copy because number one it actually works for these businesses the businesses actually make more money with emails two it's a recurring task so if you get signed on to do it you'll get paid to do it every single month because everyone always needs more emails and three because pretty much every business needs this and can benefit from it and finding businesses to reach out to is actually lot easier than you think I used to think it was really hard because I just didn't know where to look but if you're on Instagram you have every business in the world at your fingertips in two seconds for free what I recommend is use hashtags to find people that are selling stuff that you want to write about ie hashtag skincare or hashtag crypto or hashtag something else and then you go down a little rabbit hole where you click on a hashtag you click on the people that are posting there see if they're selling something you like the pictures check out their story and follow them swipe up hey what's up use my line that I'm gonna give you later and then once you pitch them you can see if they have friends that they've tagged in their post you can see if they actually have legitimate attack bows over in the other tab you can see if they have recommended follows you can see who they're following and see if there's any other business guys in there you can literally do this all night if you think it's a lot of work to send 50 DMS a day I guarantee you can do in like an app let's talk about pitching beep if there's any one piece of advice I can give you about this do not get discouraged okay most people are going to tell you no and that's okay there's a common sales thing where people tell you to go for the no which basically it just means don't be afraid to get him rejected I will go even further to say to go for the which basically means once you hit someone up you're gonna hit them up every single day until they respond and if they don't respond that's fine but if they do it'll either be positive saying hey you're persistent let's work together or no either one of those is fine the worst thing you can do is be afraid to reach out to people or be afraid to follow up and then never get responded to you by anybody it's a volume get you need to hit thousands of people if you want to make thousands of dollars that's just the way it is but remember this you only need four to five yeses to make six figures isn't that crazy you only need four to five people to pay you two thousand dollars a month to make six figures in the generations before this one do you know what someone had to do to make six figures you're sitting at the same desk for like two decades kissing the same ass hoping that you get a raise this this making six figures doing this is nothing okay just because you should be ready to send a couple thousand DMS and emails to get your first client doesn't necessarily mean that you will have to back when cold emailing was still cool on my 65th cold email that was the one landed in my first client but the first and only Twitter DM that I send landed me a client that ended up paying me a little over seventy five thousand dollars over the course of my time again I'm out in the middle right some people can send 10 DMS and get two clients right there some people have to send a thousand DMS but everyone still makes money as long as you just don't stop another Pro tip make sure you sound like an actual human being in these DMS you don't want to sound like a tryhard you don't want to sound like a bot you don't want to sound like Yap gbt you want to just be yourself so just be yourself there are people that I've hired on my team because I found them funny and there are people gonna hire you because they think you're funny it's just the way that people are human beings like real human beings so just be regular be funny be cool be confident if you can't compete on experience you have to compete on something so make it personality if you're thinking of some creative ways to follow up there's a couple things you can do you send voice notes you send Loom videos you send memes you send emojis do something that's going to make you stand out so you send a few dozen 100 or a thousand DMS and what do you know someone actually responds the first word is everything both show me an example of your work oh no what are we gonna do this is like the biggest no-brainer of all time but everyone overlooks this all you're going to do is write sample copy ahead of time for the type of business that you want to reach out to you may not know this but you don't actually have to be working for someone to produce copy for them you can just do it as practice and this is exactly what you're doing it's practice copy that you're using as samples secret is they don't really care if you've done it before they just want to know that you're a good writer and they can tell that by looking at your samples let's say you call your pants down and you don't have any samples but someone's responding to you what you can say is this sure I can send you some samples but what I'd rather do is send you something that's more relevant to you so how about this I'll write you an email that you can use right now and then you can see how my copy looks with your brand this gets people excited and puts you in their good graces so your chances of closing now are very high people get in literal brawls over this next question the internet has been debating this for years and I'm gonna end it right now should you work for free my answer no you don't have to work for free if you don't want to you can if you think there's an opportunity to get some cool experience for someone that might not pay you but you don't have to work for free even if you're a beginner working for free makes it look like you've never done it before and your goal is to make it look like you have done it before so just always charge people because you deserve to be paid if someone recommends that you work for free or suspects that you've never done anything like this before it's probably because you said something it makes you sound like you have no experience even if I went undercover as an anonymous cop Runner with no name or brand I could still let a client and they wouldn't ask me if I had experience because they would just know by the way that I talk prospects and clients really don't even ask about experience as much as you think they do if someone cold calls you answer the phone and there's someone selling Insurance you're either interested or you're not you don't say have you ever sold Insurance before you don't really care if they have experience doing it and you can kind of tell if they have and so it's either yes or a no in the same way most people probably aren't going to ask you if you have experience with this they're just gonna assume you either do or you don't the way you conduct yourself is going to determine how this entire thing goes all right you don't have to do all kinds of grub work for these prospects supplies to get them to give you a shot if a teenager can send a couple of DMS and land their first client for two thousand dollars a month without having to do any of that you can do it too now if you want to finally see the script that's been making all of my private students thousands of dollars a month as Freelancers this is it what's up name their name found you on my explore feed or through a mutual friend whatever and then a personalized compliment looks like you're crushing looks like you're growing really fast looks like you have a really cool product something like that and then you ask the question you doing anything with email right now that's it that's the script that's the thing that's been making people thousands of dollars a month the reason it works is because it opens a conversation so now there's three paths that this can go down either yes we are doing email and it's working or yes we are doing email and it's not working or no we're not doing even if the answer with the first one then you can keep pushing and see if you can try to get the sale but you're probably not going to get it if the answer with the second one you can talk about how they can do it better and maybe you'll get the sale if the answer with a third one there's a huge wide open opportunity for you to knock their socks off by adding a bunch of money to their Top Line literally right away with a couple emails a week this script is money right now now that I said it it's all over the Internet and everyone's gonna start using it so
