hi kevin here from digital discovery co welcome to video how-to series regarding our custom design templates in this video we're going to show you how to apply your custom design invoice template to an invoice first of all you have to be in Xero and in business click on business and go to invoices in invoices we're going to create a new invoice and we're going to apply the template there so create a new invoice in our case it's going to be testing noise once we've created all this information at the top and we get to branding this is where we apply the custom design template that we've created for you if you have seen have seen video one you'll see that we created custom branding themes and the custom branding things that you have created either via our video or by your your own self they will be found in this drop-down box so if you click on the drop-down box in our case it's digital discovery because of video one we created a custom design theme there so you look for your custom theme that you created branding theme click on it in our case digital discovery and then complete the rest of your invoice and we'll do that now okay now we've created our invoice we need to preview it we go to preview will only see a basic preview so this isn't the area to actually preview your invoice and the template being applied to it so we'll get out of here and what we'll do is if you want to view your invoice as we do to see that we've applied the correct branding theme or although we already know our branding theme is correct correct if you are unsure that the right theme has been applied save the invoice and open the invoice back up and when you open it back up you'll see a similar layout yet you'll see other options next to preview and it's this option print PDF where we get to view the template being applied to the invoice so print the PDF the PDF will be created by the system and download itself it's file to your in if you're running a a hard drive on your laptop and desktop then it will be there and I'm talking an external or internal hard drive so navigate to where it's stored click on it and the PDF will open up and you'll see as we see in our place our custom design invoice template has been applied and you will see exactly the same not the same layout of course you will see your custom design template being applied now if it's wrong and it's not the correct template then something has occurred in either how you've created your custom branding theme or you haven't put the correct theme in under branding so that's all for us on how to utilize your custom design branding theme in creating an invoice and in the next few days we'll create some more invoices for some of the other functions that utilize our custom design templates
