[Music] hi my name is jason bowden i have been in the dental field for 27 years and with road dental lab for eight years so i am the manager of the technical support team we have two different types of employees working in that department we have the technical support specialists and then the case support specialists so the technical support specialists you know in its name are more technically oriented they're the technicians that have been dental lab techs for many years have a lot of experience many of them are certified cdts whereas the case support specialists may have some dental background but you know maybe not so technical and just in a supportive role you know the technical support specialist is is really the main communication piece for technical questions and concerns with uh with the doctors in their offices with with the case so if the doctor sends in a case and has a question on it if it's more technical in nature the technical support specialist will be making that phone call or if the lab has a question about the case they'll be making that phone call to the doctor to discuss options you know material choices ultimately what's best for that case and for that patient the case support specialist is doing things that are simple questions like hey you didn't provide a shade for this case we need to get that from you some some less technical questions road dental lab has has put together a set of core values the number one is do what's best for the customer in all situations put the customer needs ahead of the of our own they're the only reason we're here there's no greater way to build a relationship than to steadfastly do what's right for others every day so i mean i think that's really you know what we do to accomplish that in one word so i would say focus our technical team both the technical support specialists and the case support specialists are focused on providing customer service and making sure these cases get the answers the questions answered and and the case back out in the lab to get made so that the doctors and the patients have the have the restorations that they're looking for you know a lot of times we'll we'll get a case and it's got that that question that the doctor didn't pose and and it just that really makes the case you could go from just having a regular everyday crown to something that it completes their mouth you know it that tooth back in their mouth they didn't have that they they really need you found a way to get it done quicker and you knew that patient was going through something or needing to be somewhere and you were able to deliver that a little bit quicker than normal so you know just doing those little things to make those unexpected things happen for them you
