so this is the best invoicing software and it is 100% free let's get into it so what is considered an invoicing software it is simply put software that has the capability to invoice now it can have other bells and whistles to it like go high level that can build funnels and do all kinds of things or it can be like proposify which creates you know beautiful proposals to send to your client they can sign it and pay it right there right both are considered invoicing software among tons of other softwares out there this is about my favorite software and that is stripe invoicing I made a video about stripe about two years ago uh I think it was 2021 2022 beginning of 2022 I don't know um but people really like that video and I wanted to go ahead and touch base on it one more time for you because a lot has changed over that period of time so I've tried out multiple different softwares right in the past I think I mentioned that I like stripe I did um Fiverr workspace which I still tried uh I ended up up not using it for a project recently and some organizational software but it was a really cool software to try out nothing and I mean nothing that I have found holds a candle to stripe the reason why or I guess I should say the reasons why is because stripe is so streamlined it's a payment processor which means they only take 3% I believe of whatever you were charged right so let's say that you charge um you know $100 for website hosting you're going to get $97 out of that so they charge 3% of whatever you're charging and that is that is very very common and what I mean by that is let's say that you go through propos proposify which you create a proposal you send it to them they say okay it looks good let's get started they they sign it they sign the contract that you send they pay you you get the payment what's going to happen is that payment is going to go from proposify to a payment processor which going to take 3% and then it's going to go to your bank it has to go through that payment processor in most sit situations um unless they do do like an AC deposit or a check um in which case if they do a deposit or a check typically that's not going to be invoicing necessarily you would just go pick up the check in person right I would go down to my client they'd hand me a check I'd go home I'd put it in my bank and it cuts out the invoicing process which isn't a bad thing either and some uh some places will let you do a transfers not many though so keep that in mind uh if you have a way to do a transfers uh which are instant transfers and free transfers from your client to yourself that's a great option too some banks offer it but no invoicing software that I've personally found does it or at least not does it well stripe is integrated with a payment Gateway already because stripe is a payment Gateway uh stripe invoicing stripe billing stripe subscriptions all 100% free what that means is you do not pay anything except for that uh transaction fee that they have for you or the um the processing fee that 3% beyond that it is a very naturally feeling system it feels very good to use uh stripe billing you can add people in as clients you can build them automatically you can build them uh like if you have a tax uh what is it called a vat tax number and you want to charge tax you can do that straight through their system it'll charge it it'll put it in a separate account for you which is really good really intuitive and it's really nice to just have that over there you know so that tax day comes here you go right super easy barely an inconvenience and another thing that they added that I don't believe I talked on very much in my last video was they added subscriptions which is really cool because I started doing a lot more with subscriptions after I made that last video and I found that stripe is perfect for handling those subscriptions for example I do some mentorship and some coaching for some young people who who want to do kind of what I do where it's um you know they're just entrepreneurs basically they want to do marketing or graphic design or whatever it is and so I have a subscription billing for them that bills them x amount every month they pay it it goes through you know um it's integrated with an API so it goes straight through like kajabi or whatever my uh LMS my learning management system would be and you know those it just it just like Cycles every month and I just kind of get money without having to constantly send out invoices every month you know I don't have an invoice date where I just like okay I need to send 12 invoices today let's get them going you know it saves me so much time because it's all just integrated and it's um it's recurring billing so I can set that all up in a subscription and it bills them that is one thing that whenever I figured that out about stripe I knew that stripe was going to be my go-to I knew that stripe was like this is it you know we have found the the the best one because it's cheap well sorry what I should say is it is free the processing fee is cheap right 3% that's the industry average for processing fees currently so if you go to any anybody else Squarespace may even be higher certain other ones may be higher but 3% is about your normal so stripe has the perfect um processing fee you know sure you can try and get it lower and you can talk to them and see if they'll let you go lower it does subscriptions which is really nice you can collect tax on it you can store your clients and see like at the end of the year you can see okay which clients May me the most money you can add Industries to those clients to see which industry made you the most amount of money and in my favorite part is that stripe just feels natural it doesn't feel super difficult to create an invoice and send it out to somebody or create a customer attach an invoice to that customer and send it out to them it feels very natural it feels very good and that is why I use stripe to this day and I've used it for the past four years at this point maybe even longer if you're looking for an invoicing software or an invoicing app free invoicing app whatever you're looking for I highly suggest checking out strip and seeing if it will work with what you guys needed to work for um I'm not a stripe affiliate I have no connection or sponsorship with
