hello friends welcome to defeat Orioles please subscribe the channel and click on the bell icon for notifications in this tutorial let us learn how to create checklist in excel checklist is nothing but check box in Excel which can help us as a tracker in maintaining the log of activities and more widely can be used in the dashboards effectively in Excel now let us see how to create one checklist in Excel first we need to add the Developer tab to the ribbon right click anywhere on the menu our ribbon and select customize ribbon here add the Developer tab by selecting the check box option and take ok then you can view the Developer tab in the menu bar like this below are some of the activities that I would like to track in this report so this is my example ok go to the Developer tab click on insert and then select this check box from the form controls and then draw in cell c5 okay you'll be getting a check box now as like this in this cell see if I you can rename the check box text as per your wish I will correct it as a check now drag the check box against all the activity rows till then you can see check boxes for all the activities now right-click on the first check box and select format control and under control tab give the cell reference as defy for cell link now your check box is linked to the cell d5 if the check box is selected that is ticked it will show as true or else it will show as false now repeat the same process of giving references to respect your cells in column D once you are done with the settings you can use the column D to get a summary of how many activities have been completed like in cell C 15 I would like to find out how many activities have been completed so I type the formula as equals to countifs open the bracket select the range as D Phi 2 D 14 comma and I give the condition as true in inverted commas close the bracket and press ENTER to get the result as 7 that is 7 activities have been completed out of 10 what it friends so in this way you can use this as a tracker so friends in this way one can create check lists in Excel I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial if yes please do give me a like share and commit for further more interesting videos please do subscribe D B tutorials Thank You friends thanks for watching [Music]
