are you a freelancer consultant or service based business owner who wishes they had a way to turn calendar events into invoices so you could quickly get paid for the work that you were doing if so I've got the video for you hi my name is Jessica I'm the co-founder and CEO of paver I Google workspace add-on that is your ultimate productivity assistant and today I want to show you how you can leverage paver to turn your Google calendar events into an invoice that you can email your clients so you can quickly and easily get paid let's get started all right so the first thing you'll want to do if you haven't already is to make sure that you have the paver Google workspace add-on installed you'll be able to see that here in your sidebar once it's installed now once you you're going to go through a setup process where you can create categories and labels for your calendar events in this example I've created a secondary calendar called invoicing calendar and that's what I would probably use to manage billing specifically and the reason that I want to do that is because I want to be able to create categories for each of my clients or projects that I'm working on and then I want to create labels that are called billable and non-billable just so I can track the things that I want to Bill versus not bill for so once you've created those categories and labels you can quickly apply those by just right clicking on the calendar event and applying the color that is associated with that category and then you can put in the event description if it's billable or non-billable using the #you can also simply open that calendar event up and you'll see here that you can apply the category and the label by opening the calendar event with paper open in the sidebar so for this one I've already applied that project the category and the label so to create the invoice what we're going to do is go to create reports and then we are going to select the report type of invoice now if this is your very first time creating an invoice make sure you check out these default invoice settings here you're going to be able to do things like set your first invoice number and set your hourly billing or project rate as well so make sure that you have set up your your settings before you create your first report but from there you'll just select the calendar that you plan to create your invoice from you'll put in your start date and your end date and then we're going to put our customer name in here so for this this invoice I'm going to be creating an invoice for my iws customer you'll have the opportunity to set your invoicing terms and then you'll just want to create or select the category and the label that you want to create an invoice from and click create invoice foreign now once you've created that invoice it's going to open here in a Google sheet and you'll be able to see all of the events that you pulled over from that calendar to create this invoice from the details that are here in notes actually get pulled over from the event description so you can just make sure that you add that there in the event description or you can type them in here manually once you've created the invoice the unit price is something that you will set up in your invoice settings so again just make sure that you've got that set up before you create your invoice and you'll see that I have seven billable hours that I am creating this invoice for and to quickly send this to the client all you have to do is go to file email email this file you can send it right to your invert or to your client from here it's going to send them a PDF and in a video coming very soon or maybe it's already here depending on when you're watching the video I'm going to show you how you can link this invoice to a stripe or PayPal account so that they can pay this invoice really quickly online and that is how you create an invoice using the paper Google workspace add-on I hope that you found this video helpful and as a way to say thank you for checking out this video and our Channel you can get 50 off your first month of paper after your free trial by using the promo code YouTube I'm gonna put that in the description below but make sure that you subscribe to the channel for more Google Calendar and productivity tips and we'll see you soon
