being so cold and I tell my friends when they try to um Jeremy for one of a better term that this is not my first out in at the road I scratch my nose [Music] whoa but they don't believe because the way my B about coal but I think I'm just being affected this time worse than I've been before or maybe because I didn't expect to be here it was all impromptu oo you know I was told that this is going to be a snowy Christmas and thank God up to this point there is no snow on the ground but good Lord have mercy when it was snowing the other day it was much better it wasn't so cold I don't know it's just way too cold so anyway I've been trying to make this video on customer service forever and I think I will kind of pie nit with what I started or maybe not I don't know but I got really riled up a few days maybe a week ago as you know I am the cruise lady so my discipline my focus is on cruise sales and it is always a pleasure to find the best offers for my clients but particularly my Jamaican clients because unfortunately for them they tend to go online and just buy at last minute so they miss all of the wonderful offers they miss the Thanksgiving special which those of you who live in North America know that that is just a window of time to make all of these big ticket items make these purchases and take advantage of all those benefits but I have said time and time and Time and Time and Time and Time Again to our Jamaican Travelers book in advance that's when you get the best deals and so they're learning you know I always say I need to train my clients so that they can get the best benefits oh my god oh excuse me as I said sun is shining but l call anyways I could have done this video side but I realized I have not come out in days that is one of the disadvantages of working from home because I am so guilty wherever in the world I am I'll open up the laptop or I'll take up the phone and I start to work as early as the day is or as late as the night is and I don't go outside I don't need to I keep telling myself I don't need to but I really need fresh air and I feeling it now in my nostrils cuz the heater is messing up my breathing need to go outside anyway I'm outside but you know I just have to complain I mean I don't have to and I always say never complain but boy when you hear me a complain you know say stay good so anyway I also as the cruise lady enjoy doing the little special things for my clients you will almost always get something special onboard credit maybe a case of water because Cruise Lines you pay daily for it um a bottle of wine chocolate covered strawberries something you know if you book a group with us you'll even get those group amenities cocktail party for an hour with your traveling companions you never know you might even get your cruise Fair rebated after your trip depending on how your group was structured so yeah and I'm almost always available and I want you to focus on almost always because I'm not going to be always available you know I have to sleep sleep I have to eat I need downtime I have other clients dealing with I'm working in different languages sometimes I need to decompress sometimes I need to watch Netflix sometimes I need to figure things out sometimes I need to think about my future husband I actually said that on camera all right then yeah so I had a very disturbing message from clients who just ended their cruise and I think I don't know it's either they didn't take me seriously or they think that as the clients they are always right and I'm going to tell you this you know if you're wrong you're wrong and this thing about the client is always right foolishness if you are wrong do not claim to be right if you are doing what is not supposed to be done do not try I'm trying to show you guys the pet here they're not real but they look good if you're wrong don't try to push it off on me now there's one thing I hate I hate it in my personal life I try to train my clients not to do it to me because I literally go back bistic I hate last minute I hate rushan I hate stress literally it's not good for me it's not good for my Constitution it's not good for my mental state it's not good for my piece it's not good so I try to do things way in advance to make sure oo I got to see thank you come carry it over here in the sun wao I need sunshine this video is going to be a bit crazy thank you I got myself a chair so I can sit out here oh my God I'm sure you probably not watching any more of this video cuz you're probably saying what on Earth doesn't she know that this is supposed to be a professional video well in all honesty if you want the true me this is it you're going to get the good the bad oh the ugly especially in this sort get up but anyway and I've not forgotten my train of thought don't you for a moment think I have forgotten my train of thoughts so yes now in this particular instance clients did most things right they booked early they got the booking incentives they were able to get the cabins that they wanted the deck they wanted the one thing they did not get which I offered but they declined was to spend a tad bit more not much to get a better class of service because you see for all my clients but particularly for those who are Resort clients and they are new to cruising I always want them to maximize their spend gosh this really does look weird and get the best deal so that's what I tried to do for them but they didn't want the class of service that I knew was going to be miles better and more inclusions because you know what some people they just don't like to do what they're told I don't know that might sound bad but you usually go to a professional because they know much more than you could ever know that being said however they took the class of service that they wanted and we journeyed along and that final payment I advise them you know we do everything in advance took a bit of nudging but we got that done and then here we were days before departure they came along and made a request that at this point with the Manifest sent over to the cruise line the alternate suggestion was you cannot do this through your agent now you need to do it on board and can I tell you my dear friend I got a liturgy I was told about customer service and professionalism and all that that do not do it and my voice not to them was in that same vein don't do it when I've given you the best of me Mark you you might not even know that you're getting the best because boy anyways but when you start this jour bery of words that seem to want to put me in my place and belck me and and and drag me around and put me through the mud and make me feel like I am last year's cabbage water don't do it do not do it so the outline was as a customer service representative and note carefully my job title my profession is not customer service I'm in sales I'm not in customer service I give you good customer service because you deserve it you Merit it but when I tell you as a customer now you have waited too late you need to do this at the time of embarcation do not do not and I say it again do not tell me that in the name of good customer service I ought to do and I ought to make the customer feel good look here I guess you can see that I'm not happy I was very annoyed and you all need to understand timelines are put in place for a reason in everything in life and when you regard honor her respect for the timelines that have been put in place things flow seamlessly now there are those people and because I operate in the North America space serving clients from all over the world especially when we start talking as Caribbean people or Jamaican people we think it is okay to be last minute but there are so many moving parts that affect timing and so when you try to tell me that I need to just serve you give you good service and give you what you want when you want it because you think that you are can I just say it yes the cat's pajamas the world must stop oscillating on its axis because you suddenly have made a change because you favor it and I hear travel provider must facilitate it you rub me wrong you rub me so wrong that it cannot be right so yeah I have vented I'm so happy I have this platform to vent on if you are going to do anything in cruising ladies and gentlemen boys and girls if you're trying to get your parents to get you on a cruise please advise them that timing is everything the earlier to book the earlier to G right now we're selling 2026 like hot cakes and all my clients in 2024 who have already secured their 2026 sailing they got the benefits that in 2025 or even the beginning of 2026 will not exist sometimes you will go on a product and you will be at the bar usually that's where these conversations seem to start and somebody will say oh but I only paid 2500 and you oh my God I paid 3200 or you know something and you're like how did you do that oh my travel agent oh that's what they'll say or some will say oh you know I book this two years in advance or oh you know there was this deal hey that's right they made a commitment I can tell you this and then I'm going to close this video for Black Friday that has just passed there was a $25 per person deposit on most um Holland America salings and I put out there I shared the information there's this one sale into Alaska for 2026 and I know people who were looking at it and I reached out and said listen instead of $700 you can pay today $25 per person so that's $50 instead of $700 you're saving $650 it won't change your price but you would have been confirmed on the sale in for 2026 if you just put put down $25 today nobody took it up but of course woo it's a big one as a consumer you know I took it up for myself because if I'm offering it to you and you're not taking it I'm going to take it up and I'll be sailing the high seas and that's another thing sometimes you might ask oh how you guys travel so much oh you have all this money don't be fooled we just know how and where to shop and where to pick up the offers so putting the information out there's a short window of time to make a purchase to make a commitment and that's okay too but you got to move when it's time to move and so just to end the way I started we're not in customer service we're in sales a byproduct of who I am and what I do is good customer service but don't mistake on one for the other you have a part to play in this vacation planning moment and together we will succeed I will look like the absolute angel that I am
