hi this is Sonia Fox Web technology specialist with NDSU eggc com I'm really excited to share with you today uh Google gave us some more functionality so that uh when somebody fills out your form they can get an email uh summary of what they've just filled out on your Google form I guess what Google's calling this is a response receipt so I just wanted to show you how this works I have a quick form up here and if you go to the settings icon next to the send button uh there's the option to collect email addresses which I'm going to choose that option here and if you want to uh have your receipts um mailed to the responders there was just a little explanation here and I'll choose that now you have the option to always send those receipts to people or summaries to people or you can leave it up to them in this case I'm going to leave it up to them if the respondent requests it I'll save that setting right there I'm going to go to the live form and do a test so uh dependent on uh this is you must ask for an email address so Google knows where to send this uh summary or receipt to fill out the rest of the form again this is just a quick form and here's that option send me a copy of my responses I can turn that button on and I'll try and submit it here okay it says it's been sent now I'm going to go over to my email open up my Outlook and it should come through in just a moment and there it is doesn't have the fanciest formatting but I'm really excited that this functionality is on because I know people have been asking for it uh a long time ago they did provide it by doing some um kind of complicated code on the back end and they took it away and so now it looks like they've made it an easy way for people who fill out your form uh to get this information any questions please feel free to give me a call thanks
