today is patrick who just stole my thunder but we'll give it to him he did a great job but yesterday we're talking about all about nurture campaigns and how to successfully get them set up for your fitness studio before we get started just as a reminder if you've never seen our videos or maybe you're a returning fan fan but before we get started just as a reminder loud rumor is a premier free strategy call so patrick first off what are nurturing emails nurturing campaigns what is that yeah so nurture campaigns or nurture emails are essentially an automated sequence to take a segmented list down a funnel to achieve a goal that you want out of them right whether that's a new lead to get them into the studio whether that's a member to get them sticking around whether that's a newsletter subscriber to do whatever it is that you want them to do a nurture campaign you can set over the course of a couple days a couple months a couple years so it really just varies on what it is that you want to achieve in your campaign and what are some of the things that we can achieve as a studio owner i mean what is it what we want at the end of the day we want to drive revenue right we want new members but we also want to keep our existing members so we could set up campaigns for new prospects around you know getting in the door and doing so at a very fast rate or we can get people interested in just learning more about us as a business by providing value to them right they could sign up for our newsletter on our website they could be on social media and they could see an ad for a free download of a nutrition guide it really just depends on what it is that the studio wants to achieve now let's put a scenario in place i'm a fitness studio owner never done a nurture campaign where do i start the most important thing for me is making sure that those segmented lists are clean right i don't want to have everyone in one list well you should but you don't want to send everything to that one list right you want to segment your list you know i want to have my prospects my leads i want to have members and i want to have old members that have maybe paused or canceled with me so making sure that your lists are clean and segmented because if you send you know a trial offer to an existing member well it doesn't really make sense and it's not the right positioning yeah it looks like discombobulated yeah absolutely so the first takeaway is make sure you have clean segmented lists for what it is that you want to achieve titled appropriately yes definitely all right now what's the first email that goes out what does that look like again it's gonna be dependent on you know what it is that that person has opted into right are they a lead that have came through some of my advertising campaigns are they a member or they an old member but let's just assume it's a it's a new lead right they opted into whatever my offer is i want to set up a quick nurture campaign that incentivizes them to get in the door quickly by creating some type of um exclusivity or scarcity right so hey thanks so much for opting into my free offer when's the best time to reach out to schedule first class we'll only have 24 of these passes available uh and then setting up campaigns over the course of maybe seven to seven days to 14 days for a new prospect like that and then once they've hit that and have not responded in any capacity right you want to move them over to maybe like a nurture list right and the nurture list right i would encourage to lead with value don't always just be asking for the offer in that nurture campaign set them up for you know success and potentially bringing them uh or getting them back excited to to come back rather hey sorry we couldn't get you in uh for the for for the the seven day free trial here's what i wanted to do for you and you can set up triggers in your back-end automation that say hey once someone's hit the 14 days yeah right put them in this nurture campaign and it triggers them to send another email like hey sorry we couldn't get you into the studio but what i wanted to do for you is because i want to set you up for success here's a free nutrition guy for 30 days it's going to tell you what to uh to buy at the grocery store what to eat and how often to eat it i hope you enjoy and if at any time you want to get back in the studio please just reach out and let us know right and then maybe we can reach out in another 30 days and it's like hey did you take advantage of the the the nutrition guide i got some free at-home workouts that i wanted to send to you here they are i hope they're valuable and just nurture that person with value over the course of i i keep going right i keep going right uh to get them excited about opting in you know for the offer at another time right um before we move on to for everyone at home we got a lot of good feedback and response on our first video about email marketing which is why we're doing this one and in that we included a cheat sheet and we'll also include it in this one too for 16 email headlines for your fitness studio just to get you guys started on how to um start that email with that with that headline can we talk specific of what exactly some types of free content would look like for a fitness studio owner what do you have available to you you know what what is a value to this individual we understand that they want to get in shape they want to be healthy how do we deliver content that they want to consume you know sharing like i say the nutrition guides and the healthy workout or the at-home workouts and then delivering you know additional comp uh content rather that supplements you know what is it they're consuming let's go back a bit we talked about at the beginning getting an email software to making sure what are some ones that we use here at latimer that work really well for us yeah so i mean at lottery we use a tool called hubspot that's pretty robust quite honestly it's more than what you need in the fitness studio the most important thing is you know think about or look into a you know email software that integrates with whatever it is your your studio management software is or your crm right so if you have mind body are there tools that integrate with mind body that deliver emails make sure it integrates with your system so that's a seamless seamless process gotcha now within these nurture campaigns is there um a certain format that you want to take or studio owners want to take when you want them to now take action no at the end of the day this is marketing to say oh in the third email put a call to action that says jump into jumping for a free trial like test that without a doubt but you don't know right so what's important is you're consistent right be consistent in your nurture campaigns both for prospects members old members and those prospects that you know you put into a another nurture for a longer term period just be be consistent right that's the most important thing you know another thing to think about is like i don't know if a lot of franchise concepts do this but i know you know independents for the most part have things like this on their website where you can opt in for a newsletter i think this is a great opportunity to set some expectations upon the initial delivery of the email hey thanks so much for signing up for my newsletter here's what to expect what i found in doing email marketing nurture campaigns is when you set the expectation up front of how often what type of content you're going to be delivering you're more likely right to keep that person on your list as opposed to them opting out because they hear too much from you or not enough from you or whatever it may be so in any stage of the of a nurture email campaign again for members for prospects for old members set the expectation of what it is that you're going to be sending them and how often you're going to be sending them now we could go into explaining why nurture campaigns are so successful but i'm actually gonna do something a little different here um we're gonna drop a video of a testimonial we actually got from one of our members who explained it perfectly so philip go ahead and drop that in he put me on the strip of emails and videos and so everything he said was a lot different than anybody else it wasn't just about ads it was about let me give you this free information and let me give you some tips on how to get more members for free like completely free and so giving people that valuable stuff that they can utilize before they're even a customer really puts that seed in your head like this is the person i'm gonna use when i need when i need help and that's the first person you know that i call so you guys saw here cindy she was in our nurture campaign we gave her a bunch of free resources and she said it was so great that this was we're giving her all this free information again we don't need to explain it this is it really does work and that's what how it helps us and so i mean 30 of the leads that we drive like strategy call leads like people that want to jump on the phone are from our nurture email campaigns again it goes back to the old saying like it's not what when you're ready to buy it's when they're ready to buy
