what's going on it's ed here from clicks geek and today we're going to talk about uh your ppc agency specifically google ads agency company facebook ads agency whatever it is even seo for that matter um i want to talk about billing how you bill your clients so one thing i learned a long time ago is you do not want to be chasing checks in business if you've got an invoice and have a net 30 or a net seven or net 90 god forbid you're just going to be chasing checks and it's hard on cash flow it's like driving the car with the gas and the braking at the same time it's a tough ride so what i would suggest one of the beauties of this business is i would suggest to bill up front and bill in a recurring fashion bill with recurring payments so you can set up recurring payments with stripe with quickbooks with paypal so one of my agencies we use paypal so you could use paypal regular the free version or paypal pro the business version and either of them you can set up paypal recurring payments subscriptions if you will you can do with stripe you can do with quickbooks you can do it with all sorts of different ways but the beauty of it is is in your onboarding you've got your payment link and then your short questionnaire that gets paid once so the client is essentially just making the purchase once in their mind and then it auto recurs and it's a lot easier for you to build the um the stability of that recurring revenue in your business rather than on this day and this month you're sending out invoices and then you're kind of just sitting there waiting for your inbox to to refresh waiting to see if that money's at your account yet and it'll drive you mad especially when clients are five days seven days two weeks late not paying um disputing it whatever it is it just it becomes more difficult to actually manage your business so my my strongest suggestion to anybody that i i help in the agency side of things i speak to a lot of agencies day in and day out with our white label ppc business would be to set up recurring payments if you're still invoicing you're wasting your time and it does not have to be that difficult set up the recurring payment once have them pay on it and you're good to go you can actually build that first payment to include the setup fee as well and then it'll auto recur at the whatever the monthly rate is you can set it up like that you could send over two payment links if you want for the setup and then the recurring but just do it day one payments are on day one the other other little tidbit here specifically for all my google ads peeps is to say talk in terms of budget don't talk in terms of spend what do i mean by that i mean when you're talking to a client don't say your google ad spend is going to be this say your google budget is going to be this budget is up front spend is in the rears keep in mind the client in google ads will never likely spend their entire budget because of the way the auctions work they'll usually underspend occasionally they'll overspend a little bit but it's not like facebook where if you put in five bucks a day they'll get exactly five dollars a day they've got to basically earn those clicks in the auctions and through their copywriting and their keyword selection and what you'll find is some accounts slightly underspent and that's why i always talk to clients in terms of budget and not spend so i hope that helps just my little uh tidbit for the day hope you have a great rest of your day if you guys need anything there'll be links in the description it's ed here from clicks geek um we're a google premier partner agency we specialize in lead gen for local businesses and we offer white label ppc services as well we've got some courses teaching uh google ads landing pages direct mail to get clients and we're actually launching an agency course as well all the links will be in the description if you like it subscribe have a great day bye
