hi in this video we're going to look at automatic reminders for outstanding invoices in QuickBooks so this is a feature that's not always well advertised and many quibbles users and not aware of it so I'm going to go another look in our settings so if we go to these settings in the top right here little gear and then go to accounts and settings and under the accountant settings section you'll go into sales on the left hand side there so let's switch into the sales section and under the sales section if you've drop-down you can see here you've got reminders auto invoice reminders as an option so if I go into there and click in and switch on that's where you'll see the option to set up to three reminders which will automatically send messages to outstanding debtors and chairs the typical invoices that are outstanding so again we can create reminders before or after the due date so you might say actually will chair some of these seven days after the due date for the unpaid invoice and again create additional reminders as we go we can change the template here in terms of the wording that we want to put on the actual reminders but it is the same email message for each of the three particular reminders you might set in there and you can get this copied the email copied to you when it does go so you can see that it's been sent to to the outstanding debt automatically leaves QuickBooks so this is a wonderful feature if you keep your outstanding invoices details up to date so if you're recording information coming in from the bank every day and you see that your debtor reporting is all up to date to make sure that you're not sending these out to people who have actually paid you so if you're very much on top of recording money coming in to your QuickBooks this is an ideal feature to automate some of the debt to chase thing and try and get some of that money coming in earlier through these automated emails we go to QuickBooks Online so that's how to set your automated reminders in QuickBooks Online that's useful for your debtor chasing [Music]
